Stina Nyberg is educated as a dancer from Balettakademien in Stockholm and recently graduated from the MA in choreography (Mychoreography) at DOCH in Stockholm. Since then she has engaged in practices and ideas grounded in the MA, and performed with Andros Zins-Browne, Mårten Spångberg and Sidney Leoni and others. Stina received the danceWEB scholarship in 2009 and the same year developed her solo At Once by Deborah Hay, performed at Tanztage Berlin 2010. She is currently working on a piece for the students of the Royal Ballet School in Stockholm, with premiere at the Opera. She is co-curating the Practice Symposium taking place in Stockholm in September and will during the autumn rework her solo Loudspeaking during a residency at Movement Research in New York, with performances at Judson Church in New York and MDT in Stockholm in December. In 2013 she is choreographing the concert and stage performance following the release of the new album by the Swedish band The Knife.
